What I liked

I really like how I got to meet several different people both co-workers and customers. My hours were very flexible and the work environment was very positive.

What I wish was different

I wish that some of the management was different because it was obvious that there was favoritism and some issues never were resolved.

Advice

I would highly recommend that everyone works in the customer service field because it makes you learn social skills and also allows you to make networking connections with possible other employers.

November 2017 • Dublin, OH

What I liked

My coworkers are very fun. The environment it fast paces and exciting. Easy to memorize and learn tasks. The place has more of a family vibe compared to a work environment. People will help you because they care about you and want you to succeed.

What I wish was different

We are making everything by hand and there can be human errors and we get chewed out sometimes. I wish we could explain why the error was made and not have to take people being overly harsh.

Advice

Just focus on learning and it will work well. It seems like a lot of work, but it gets broken up in a way that is manageable.

Barista

May 2019 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

I enjoyed the people I worked with, they were very nice and were very accommodating when I had questions.

What I wish was different

I often saw some partner baristas being harassed by customers, when that happened I or my coworkers would say something; but it was very weird how comfortable some patrons felt yelling at us for very minute issues.

Advice

Ask questions! There is a lot to learn and no one will (or should) berate you for not understanding something. There are many partners who have been there for years who still ask questions about expiration dates or how a drink is made. It’s okay to not be a walking encyclopedia!
