Starbucks
January 2018 • San Diego, CA
What I liked
It’s a very easy going Job, you get to learn about coffee, make coffee, and meet new people. I go to ASU through Starbucks and it can be a really rewarding job.
What I wish was different
I was pregnant the entire summer and the company made me work 40 hours a week which was really tiring so I wish they had better work conditions for pregnant people.

Starbucks Barista
August - September 2019 • Mission Viejo, CA
What I liked
I loved having a fast-paced environment. I also loved getting to know returning costumers and being able to talk to different people every day.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more one on one training involved. I was sometimes thrown into the deep end of the pool on learning different drinks, which was extremely difficult during peak hours.
Advice
Advice I would give someone is to always put a smile on your face. Even when the day seems long and hard and smile feels instantly better and lifts the spirits around you. When you lift others around you, you are lifted in return.
