What I liked

I love my partners (coworkers) and I loved learning how to talk and deal with all sorts of people. It is a learning experience every day that I work at Starbucks and I love it!

What I wish was different

I wish the store that I was at was a little better staffed. There were several times where I was doing the job of two to three other partners, which made my capability to make every customer's experience the best it could be.

My former manager there was kinder to the people who had started or transferred in and were willing to work hard. We have a new manager now who has made everyone feel much better about working there.

Be willing to work and learn a lot in a short amount of time. Ask lots of questions and be eager to learn lots of positions.

Customers could often be rude and impatient. I wish those kinds of people were more empathetic to how stressful this job could be.

Advice

Having co-workers you enjoy being around makes a tremendous difference. Working an eight hour shift with people who support you is much easier than a four hour shift with people who don't.
