Although my summer consisted of just me working at Starbucks, I was grateful for the experience because with so few people in the store, I got to really know how to run it and try different tasks. Be patient and accept those challenges because you only end up preparing yourself for the job of your dreams in the future

What I liked
I love my partners (coworkers) and I loved learning how to talk and deal with all sorts of people. It is a learning experience every day that I work at Starbucks and I love it!
What I wish was different
I wish the store that I was at was a little better staffed. There were several times where I was doing the job of two to three other partners, which made my capability to make every customer's experience the best it could be.

A positive attitude is always the best answer to any challenge.

What I liked
My team is wonderful, and I felt supported through my training by my supervisors. The company provides amazing resources and benefits for partners, i.e. the reason I continued to pursue my education through ASU. :)

I wish I had my second cup (essentially an orientation that goes over company benefits and how to use them) earlier.
Advice
Retail jobs are difficult and can seem daunting, but in this job I find myself meeting new people, developing new skills, and being offered fantastic resources that have changed my life for the better.
