Advice
The job really showed me how a change of attitude really impacts job performance - coming into work with a positive attitude that's ready to work with others allowed me to enjoy doing my job and interacting with coworkers and guests. It's a great experience that teaches you how to work with others and allows you to meet other great people (many of whom are also college students).

Executive Team Leader
May 2018 • Fort Collins, CO
What I liked
Starting day 1, I was treated at the level of all other executives. My STL spent a bunch of one on one time with me and helped develop my leadership abilities. The main goal of this internship was to determine what my leadership style was and how to handle responsibility,
What I wish was different
I wish I had the opportunity to spend more time in a super target, rather than my small store. I also wish that /i had spent more team specifically focusing on Human Resources and Assets Protection.
Advice
I would recommend that if anyone wants to experience a true leadership role, this is the job for you. I learned how to successfully leverage relationships to accomplish any goal/objective set before me and my team.

Target Employee
June 2018 • Janesville, WI
What I liked
I love customer service. I want to be a marketing and advertising writer, so interacting with customers and taking note of packing and products frequently bought is important for me. I need to write content that appeals to the consumer; what better way than to interact with the consumer!
What I wish was different
I wish I had not spent as much time on the cash register and more time organizing and working on the sale's floor.
Advice
Don't be afraid of entry level positions. Work really hard and show all of your colors in your small position because you will be noticed and eventually handed bigger opportunities. I ended up being asked to transfer to a Target in the Twin Cities and have already been given employee recognition.

Operations Manager Intern
June - August 2018 • Lugoff, SC
What I liked
I loved the company culture at Target and the people I met.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been more structured week to week.
Advice
I think the point of an internship to find different roles or jobs that you wouldn't have to chance once you are out in the real world. While in college we are focusing on one path but why not try something completely out of the box to see if you like it.
