Getting internships are very important I think, but doing one in a different country just provides extra experience I think that's rare to come by.

I liked being in Shanghai and the experience of being completely by myself in a foreign country. It made me mature a lot while discovering a interesting new place.

Go with the flow. Sometimes you’ll have plans that you don’t want to stray from, but have to. Flexibility is key!

I loved seeing everyone's faces brighten up when they realize people are there for them and are not alone!

What I wish was different

Just wish every person in need knew about Food Banks. They truly are a blessing and open to anyone in need.

Advice

One piece of advice i'd like to share is to just keep your heart and eyes open to opportunities like this. I realized that my co-workers at the Food Bank needed help at some point in their past and now giving back to the community. We don't need a situation like this to realize we can help. We can all love each other and spread peace through helping. It's a great experience!
