I love working with my coworkers in Lawn and Garden as well as getting to know other coworkers throughout the store. I also love seeing the regular customers and forming bonds with them.

I wish my department wasn't so understaffed.

Merchandising Operations Intern

What I liked

Interns are included and made part of the team from day one. Although I didn't always have much to say in meetings, I always felt like my input was valued and I could ask questions, if needed. My leadership was very supportive, but also gave me a lot of autonomy to work on my project and draw my own conclusions.

What I wish was different

I wish that the on-boarding process were a little smoother and faster. It took me quite awhile to obtain access to a database that was crucial to my project.

Advice

Be open to new experiences and don't be afraid to challenge a thought or current process! Sometimes the best ideas and changes come from challenging what is currently being done.
