What I liked

PNC is very committed to development. My expectations for the internship program were exceeded in every way imaginable. One of the best things about being an intern for PNC is being able work on projects that have the potential to make a tangible difference at one of the largest banks in the nation.

What I wish was different

I wish it were longer. 10 weeks goes by pretty quick.

Advice

Be yourself in the interview and if you’re able to intern with PNC, give it everything that you can because the potential is endless.

Internal Audit Intern

May 2019 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

I really appreciated the support from everyone in my department. Everyone wanted me to learn as much as possible, and to enjoy my experience. My intern class was such a fun group and they really put a big emphasis on lets us bond with each other and bond with the prior interns and current development analysis.

What I wish was different

I really enjoyed all my time with the AGA and Directors, so maybe something I would suggest for the future is more time with leaders and directors.

Advice

Give 110% every time your in the office. The summer flies by so capitalize on the resources and people around you.

Corporate and Institutional Banking: Relationship Management and Credit Products Intern

May - August 2018 • Baltimore, MD

What I liked

I loved the culture of PNC and all of its employees I got to work alongside with everyday. Everyone I met was super helpful and truly wanted this to be a learning, worthwhile experience for the interns. PNC invests so much in their interns and really allows us to see many areas and aspects of the bank throughout our 10 week long summer internship. It was very cool being in a city I had never been to before, while also having the opportunity to travel to HQs in Pittsburgh for orientation at the beginning of the 10 weeks and again at the end for our final presentation with our group.

What I wish was different

My experience was less hands-on assignments to work on but more of a mentorship and attending meetings and calls with the bankers-- I will say though that not all interns had this same experience. This opportunity was still truly valuable.

Advice

I suggest you try to learn as much about the different sectors of the bank as you can while you are interning there. The employees are very open to answering any questions you may have about different roles and areas of interest at PNC.
