The quick and easy hiring process as well as the flexible scheduling. Great job to have during the summer as well as during the school months. There is always something to do and you are not stuck in one position every day.
What I wish was different
I wish I had known about the drastic change in closing hours during the holidays, as I am a full time student I cannot afford to work closing shifts until 1AM.
Advice
Make your availabilities consistent with the fluctuating closing hours so that you can get enough sleep for the classes, if you are a student.

What I liked
I liked being taught a lot of discipline. There are times in retail where customers will go out of their way to be upset about something not being in stock/the right size (I can't stress this enough). I learned a lot about the importance of patience and active listening.
What I wish was different
The management was not great. I often found myself with little help in the areas that I was working on, and not much was done about it.
Advice
If you enjoy retail and keeping up with merchandise, this is a great job to have. It would also help to be empathetic and approach everything with a positive attitude.

I liked the real world experience. I was given real tasks and I succeeded or failed on my own. If I failed I was coached on how the fail could have been prevented.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have asked more questions about the history of the internship and got to know more previous interns that came back full time.
Advice
They are looking for individuals to take initiative don't wait until your told to do something. It doesn't matter if your a store manager intern, you have to know it all and you can still ask an employee what to do because the more you know the better you'll be off.

I wish that I had started sooner. I started later in May and I wish I started towards the beginning of May.
Advice
I would say that if people want to work for a summer job outside of an internship, make sure to sign up during March or early April. The earlier the better.
