Accountant Intern

May - August 2017 • Salt Lake City, UT

What I liked

Friendly, tight-knit finance operation team a lot of team events and get-togethers. I felt really close with all my co-workers and the company culture. The internship also gives you a lot of ownership towards how you want to develop yourself, as you can pick the projects you want to work on! There is tons of freedom and flexibility in working as an intern, and you're never really given "busy work." The company gives you a great introduction to technology and finance.

What I wish was different

Honestly, nothing!

Advice

Don't be afraid to be assertive about what you want to work on! You decide what you get out of this internship. And really take advantage of being around experienced individuals by getting to know them and learning from them.

Security Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Pleasanton, CA

What I liked

The Workday intern program is very well designed to match interns with meaningful software development projects which suit their talents and interests. My managers and team members were very involved with making sure I had a meaningful experience with a project that would see future use at the company. My team went out of their way to get me experience in many of the team's functions beyond the scope of my project. I was offered frequent opportunities to showcase my work to other employees and teams throughout the company.

What I wish was different

My internship was well structured and I was matched with a very suitable team and project. I can't say there are any significant problems that damaged my experience.

Advice

As a Software Development Intern you will be recruited into a pool of interns who each rank their preferences from a selection of project offerings. The job posting requirements will be very general, but chances are they have a project that suites someone of any Software Development background.
