For over 35 years, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center has been an icon in Virginia Beach. The Aquarium has consistently reached for excellence in every aspect of its work, whether by creating incredible memories for guests through an innovative blend of aquarium, nature center, and science museum best practices, or by ambitiously monitoring Virginia’s coastline through its nationally recognized Stranding Response Program. Its work is the result of a hugely successful public-private partnership between the City of Virginia Beach and the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation.
