Tuscany is exactly the place I hoped I would find myself after graduation. With experience in education and having just completed my MBA, I knew I wanted a role that would keep me engaged by allowing me to think strategically about complex business problems while making a positive impact in the education space. From day one I was trusted with project responsibilities and given the opportunity to participate in client-facing meetings. As a result, one of the greatest benefits of working at Tuscany is that I feel like I am learning just as much as I am contributing to my close-knit team. The fact that Tuscany encourages work-life balance in addition to professional development is icing on the cake knowing that this is not the norm in the consulting industry.
What I wish was different
One of the best and most challenging aspects of joining Tuscany is the steep learning curve. The firm immediately offers the chance to make significant contributions to current projects and generally this includes some form of big data analysis to support conclusions. I find this aspect of our work fascinating, but I have to admit that I wish I had taken more data analytics courses during my time at Carey!
Advice
At its core, Tuscany is a strategy consulting firm. While I love that Tuscany has many cases focused in the education and healthcare spaces, you do not need to have experience in these areas to apply to or be successful at the firm. If you enjoy seeking data-backed solutions to complex problems and delivering meaningful solutions to clients, Tuscany could be the perfect fit no matter your background!

Summer Analyst
May - August 2018 • Baltimore, MD
What I liked
Since Tuscany is small, on my very first day I was already client-facing and sitting in on calls. I loved how much responsibility I was given, and it was very fulfilling to see the work I had done be presented to our clients, even as just a summer analyst. The people care deeply about your own professional development and seek to help you further your career interests, while growing Tuscany at an impressive rate.
What I wish was different
As with most internship-level consulting jobs, a lot of menial work is given to summer analysts, which was a little dry at times. Other than that, I have no other changes to suggest.
Advice
While Tuscany is not industry-specific, they consult mostly for education and healthcare-related clients. Definitely apply if you have interests in these fields as well as business strategy and growth/development strategy!
