I liked the flexibility with my hours and work environment. The civil engineers I worked alongside were welcoming making my experience much more enjoyable. Overall it was an awesome opportunity, as I got career insight and advice from colleagues.

What I liked
I liked the responsibility that my supervisors gave me. Drawing up plans on AutoCAD for real projects with my name on the plans along with the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering Logo. I liked the flexibility in my schedule when it came to studying for midterms.
What I wish was different
I wish it was longer.
Advice
Its a great experience to apply my knowledge in real world. It helped me connect the dots when it came to the processes of a projects from beginning to end.

What I liked
I really enjoyed getting hands on experience in civil design and getting the opportunity to work on real projects. Everyone at the Bureau of Engineering was so welcoming and I learned something new every day.

Take a lot of notes because so much information constantly gets thrown at you.
