Enjoyed the atmosphere that this restaurant had and that everyone always had a smile on their face!

What I wish was different

I wish i applied for the server position instead of a hostess so then there are more roles to do throughout the restaurant, but I still enjoyed working as a hostess.

Working in this line of work really gave me a bigger appreciation for any worker who works in the restaurant business because it's a tough job.

The staff was laid back, and everyone knew how to do their job. If there was any lack of experience that you may have you were sure to be able to find someone that could give you a pointer to help you.

I wish that there could have been a higher wage, as well as the management being a bit more attentive during the process of me leaving.

Be ready to deal with some customers that simply will not like you. You will have to have a thick skin and be able to think fast and deal with a lot of things that are simply out of your control.

Working as a server is definitely hard work. Know the menu and ingredients of food well so you can make good tips making suggestions and being friendly.
