I absolutely loved working for SYKES. I had the opportunity to design and create their sustainability programs and my voice mattered. We were able to get a lot done.

What I wish was different

Being able to travel to Costa Rica with them like we had planned prior to COVID-19.

Continue networking with Midd Alums! I got this job through a relationship I have had with a Midd mentor for the past three years.

Customer Service Representative

What I liked

The people I worked with were very friendly and nice, I liked most of my experiences I had taking calls helping customer's credit card needs. I also liked the fact that there was no average handle time, as in it didn't matter how long it took to be on a call

What I wish was different

I wish the Paid time off system was a little different and easier to use, i couldn't see how much time off i had accrued since I had been there after the ninety day period.

Advice

Just relax take one call at a time, and enjoy the call you are on don't rush, and if you don't know the answer get help and own it.

It paid pretty well. The trainers and coaches were nice.

What I wish was different

Kind of wish I hadn't worked there. Call centers are not for me.

Advice

Look for job with plenty of time ahead of you. That way you have a better opportunity to get something that will actually be helpful to your career/life plan rather than just something you need right now.
