The Summer Learning Collaborative transforms educational outcomes for low-income children by equipping community-based agencies and schools with curricular, personnel and organizational resources to execute high quality summer learning programs. SummerCollab employs and trains top teachers, professionals, college and high school students to bring more choices and more chances to children in the state of Delaware during the summer months. Through hands-on critical thinking curriculum, literacy intervention and behavior supports, partner site campers in grades K-5 grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Tyler’s Camp, SummerCollab’s middle school academy, offers Delaware’s rising 4th through 8th graders a unique summer experience. Each Tyler’s Camp location targets a wide variety of campers by providing arts, hands-on technology, and athletic options, alongside targeted literacy support. With this, campers have the opportunity to see growth in their motivation, self-esteem, critical thinking, leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
