I loved working with the kids that I have seen grow up for four years now. The program was a Summer Enrichment giving students of Escuela Bilingüe Villa Soleada a chance to practice their English language skills.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to be more involved in the classroom. I was in charge of resolving behavior issues and making sure the teachers had everything they needed to be successful.
Advice
Be flexible! This job required a lot of thinking on my feet, changing schedules/plans last minute, and even canceling school for that day because of strikes happening all across Honduras.
