About Royal Oak Enterprises

Do you really need a reason to grill? How about because it’s Wednesday? And that only happens once a week. Great reason. Or how about just because you feel like it? Even better.
The good news is you don’t need a reason to grill. All you need is a passion for great tasting food, and a few great folks to share it with. So fire up the coals and raise your tongs high.
We are Royal Oak, and we love grilling. Plain and simple. We're a family owned company, and all the products we make are made right here in the USA. We believe in the power of grilling to bring folks together, and turn a meal into an event.
So whether you’re whipping up dinner on a weeknight, or Q’ing low and slow on a sunny Saturday, we’ve got a range of the highest quality charcoal to suit all your grilling needs.

Based in Roswell, GA, with many manufacturing facilities around the United States, Royal Oak is continuing to seek to grow our nationally distributed branded products around the United States. However, it all started in Bradleyville, Missouri in 1953 when Vester Keeter started the Bradleyville Charcoal Company. For years, The Ozarks had been supplying huge amounts of charcoal to the nation’s iron industry. But after WWII, with the return of thousands of GI’s and the explosion of the suburbs, demand for charcoal briquets skyrocketed. Mr. Keeter was happy to meet this need, and in 1959 he built a modern plant near Branson and renamed it the Keeter Charcoal Company. In 1983 the company changed its name to Royal Oak Enterprises, and has become one of the largest charcoal producers in North America. For many decades Royal Oak has supported the environment by annually converting hundreds of millions of pounds of lumber industry waste wood into the highest quality charcoal. The company is committed to sustainability procedures throughout its manufacturing processes. We are the largest US producer of natural lump charcoal.

“I enjoyed getting to experience a balance between both a desk job and working directly on the floor with warehouse managers, production supervisors, etc. Getting to learn about the overall process and come up with solutions/analyze data was also a very good experience.”
