Working as a Style Advisor at Reformation has been an incredible journey that perfectly aligns with my passion for fashion, sustainability, and connecting with people. The entrepreneurial environment at Reformation has been a significant source of inspiration for me. It's a place where creativity and innovation thrive, and where the spirit of entrepreneurship is embedded in the very core of our daily operations. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is forming connections with our clients. Every individual who walks through the door or reaches out to us online has a unique story and style. It's a privilege to be a part of their journey in finding clothing that makes them feel confident and empowered. Whether it's helping someone pick out the perfect outfit for a special occasion or assisting them in building a sustainable wardrobe, I find immense joy in being a part of these transformative moments. What makes Reformation even more special is the sense of inclusivity that pervades our team and our mission. Our team is a diverse blend of talents, backgrounds, and perspectives, which enriches our work environment and fosters a sense of belonging. This diversity allows us to understand and serve our customers better, ensuring that everyone who comes to Reformation feels seen and valued. Educating customers on sustainable fashion is another aspect of my role that I deeply cherish. Reformation's commitment to sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. It's rewarding to share our knowledge about eco-friendly materials, ethical manufacturing processes, and the positive impact of sustainable choices on our planet. Being able to inspire our customers to make more conscious fashion decisions and to see the ripple effect of those choices is truly fulfilling.

What I wish was different

As a Style Advisor at Reformation, I have had the privilege of working with a brand that prioritizes sustainability in fashion. However, I can't help but wish that there was even more education available to our customers regarding the sustainability of each garment we offer. Sustainability is at the core of Reformation's values, and we take significant steps to minimize our environmental impact, from using eco-friendly materials to ethical manufacturing processes. But it's vital for our customers to fully understand the environmental benefits of the choices they make when purchasing clothing. This knowledge empowers them to make informed decisions that align with their values. I believe that incorporating more education on the sustainability of each garment could make a significant difference. This could involve providing detailed information about the materials used, such as organic cotton or Tencel, and explaining how these materials are more eco-friendly than traditional options. Additionally, we could highlight the sustainable practices in the manufacturing process, like water-saving techniques and renewable energy use.

Advice

As a Style Advisor at Reformation, one of the most valuable pieces of advice I would offer to both my fellow team members and aspiring style advisors is the importance of connecting with clients on a personal level and developing the talent to understand their unique needs and desires. Fashion is more than just clothing; it's a form of self-expression. Clients come to us seeking not just garments, but a way to convey their personality, boost their confidence, and feel their best. Building a genuine connection with them is the foundation of providing exceptional service.
