I liked having tasks to complete that were actually beneficial for the organization and the members of the community. It was helpful being surrounded by people who speak Spanish because it is easier to learn when immersed in settings where the language is heavily spoken.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have found out about the opportunity sooner. I would have like to interact with the Seniors more and complete bigger projects.
Advice
Offer your services and be proactive. Do not wait for people to ask you to complete tasks.
