What I liked

It is an independent job working overnight. I have a daily routine I follow and don't have to wrry about customers.

What I wish was different

I wish there was managers on site I am alone all night, they are on call and often helpful when you call but not always able to help. I also feel everyone is trained differently but wexpect the same quality from everyone.

Advice

Take your training serious it's one month and worth it. This is a job worth your time if it fits you but you are alone in a building all night iwth an alarm system make sure you are comftorable with that.

Delivery Driver

May - August 2019 • Shiloh, IL

What I liked

I liked learning customer service as this was my first job and always being on the go. I learned how to handle situations where I have to put the customer first. I also learned how to work with people who I do not completely get along with. This helped me prepare for my future very well.

What I wish was different

The management at that specific restaurant was extremely unproductive and even unprofessional. I did not like how many rules were overlooked.

Advice

I think attitude is the most important part of any job. On the days I was surrounded by co-workers who were very negative, I found my days not being as productive or as happy and vice versa. I tried to always remain the one with the best attitude and by the time I left to go back to school I learned people noticed that and that my radiating positivity reflected on others.

What I wish was different

One thing that I wish was different was I wish I got more appreciation. My boss told me that I would get a raise to $10 and I never did. I never won any of the contests either. Even though they would always tell me I’m a great worker and they are happy that I’m back for summer break.
