What I liked

I liked the company culture, and I felt they had a good internship program. I was exposed to both the store and corporate environments. I also liked the case study project, it was cool to come up with an idea to help the company and compete against the other interns.

What I wish was different

I did find it difficult at times to communicate with my group for the innovation case study project because I was the only one at a store. The rest of the group were based at the corporate office.

Advice

Take advantage of the networking opportunities because you meet a lot of people in many different positions.

I loved the scheduling and how often I worked. They were flexible with scheduling and it really worked with my schedule outside of work.

What I wish was different

Nothing really. The training was very helpful for me to understand how everything worked and what I needed to do to get things done. I thoroughly enjoyed working there and I am definitely returning in the spring of 2020.

Advice

The one piece of advice that I would share would be to take every correction or assignment as constructive criticism and take it with a smile. Honestly, that is what helped me get through the day at work. Having a smile makes other people happy and it makes the work day go by faster. Everyday was a learning experience and I improved as the days went on.

What I liked

My managers did a decent job of teaching me most of the tasks they wanted me to do and were very approachable and helpful. My main duty was stocking and cash registers but I got a good amount of sales and selling experience as well.

What I wish was different

I would've liked it if my shift was more consistent (days varied from anything between 6:00am-2:30 shifts and 1:00pm-9:30 shifts). Also often felt we were not given enough time to complete tasks. But nothing really out of the ordinary for a retail job.
