About Mountain Camp Woodside

Mountain Camp Woodside is a traditional summer camp that offers both an Overnight Camp (grade 2-10) and Day Camp (grades K-10). We are located near Palo Alto, in the heart of beautiful Portola Valley, California on the 63-acre campus of the Woodside Priory School. Our camp inspires campers to try new activities, build independence, make friends and take home memories that will last a lifetime.Our highly qualified staff is truly the heart of the program. Each staff member is hand-picked based on their experience, enthusiasm and their ability to be an excellent role model. We recruit counselors from as close as Palo Alto and as far as Austrailia, the United Kingdom, and other places all over the world and we believe that the unique atmosphere created by this cultural exchange adds to our camp experience.

“I loved how I was consistently pushed to become better at my job and always allowed the opportunity to plan my own activities. I learned how to creatively and calmly solve problems on the spot. I also enjoyed the schedule. I was living close by to the camp so I worked only Monday to Friday from 8:30 am- 6pm, which is an option that is not always available at summer camps. I was not working as much as some of the other counselors, but I was still fully involved in camp life. ”
