“The REU program was a great way to gain research experience in chemistry. While I was there, I was able to learn multiple lab techniques and hone my skill as a researcher. The professor and graduate students that I worked under held me to high standards that helped me understand what it is like to work in a graduate lab. I also participated in a poster seminar, where I was able to present my research and practice public speaking skills.”
