The campaign to re-elect Mikie Sherrill to U.S. Congress is seeking candidates for full-time and part-time interns for the spring, summer and upcoming fall of 2020.
Mikie Sherrill ran for Congress to bring new leadership to Washington and to fight for our future. Mikie graduated from the United States Naval Academy and spent almost 10 years on active duty in the United States Navy. As a Sea King Helicopter pilot, Mikie flew missions throughout Europe and the Middle East. After leaving the Navy, Mikie attended law school, earning a degree from Georgetown University. She worked in private practice and before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey. As an Outreach and Reentry Coordinator, Mikie developed programs to develop trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve and helped people leaving prison restart their lives. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mikie prosecuted federal cases and advised law enforcement on investigations.
Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Sussex Counties are all part of the NJ-11th District.
