About Mercer Engineering Research Center

Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC) is a non-profit applied research operating unit of Mercer University, a private university founded in 1833. Located in Warner Robins, GA, MERC was established in 1987 to provide engineering and scientific services and specialized technical skills to Robins Air Force Base. Since then, MERC has grown to support other branches of the DoD, as well as various government and commercial customers around the world. MERC’s core competencies include digital engineering, electronic warfare support, reverse engineering and prototyping, electronics engineering, custom software development, cybersecurity for mission assurance, computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, structural integrity, mechanical testing, non-destructive inspection (NDI), artificial intelligence and machine learning, and human factors and biomechanics.
