“I was able to shadow many different surgeons and anesthesiologists. Everyone was very welcoming and willing to teach me. Since I was the only volunteer, the hours were very flexible, and I was able to choose the days I came in each week. I got to connect with the patients and help out the PACU nurses. When I wasn't in the OR, I wheeled the patients down to the valet area to get picked up. ”
