Manager

February 2014 • Fairhaven, MA

What I liked

The fact that the people who I work with are friendly

What I wish was different

Customers had been more understanding about small inconveniences that we all face in our everyday lives but for some reason they feel that they have every right to dictate your very being because you are wearing a shirt that says you work at an establishment, which to them means that you may be seemingly worthless and that they may then just demean you as a person and then "ask to speak to the manager" where they then do the same degradation and then "call corporate".

Advice

You will learn valuable life skills

March 2018 • Spencerport, NY

What I liked

I liked my coworkers, and the proximity to my house.

What I wish was different

Wish that I could've had more choice over my schedule.

Advice

Don't expect working at McDonalds to be glamorous. It is a good job for someone just entering the workforce. Unless you are a manager it does not require many skills and can be quite boring. You just have to make the most fo your time there by building relationships with your coworkers and customers, because if you don't, there isn't much to look forward to.

April 2018 • Chico, CA

What I liked

My coworkers and the general environment were very fun and made the terrible customers a laughing matter to ease the stress of dealing with them.

What I wish was different

I wish the customers weren’t so rude to the staff. They expected us to know everything like if we didn’t have to learn & as if we are superhuman

Advice

Be prepared to be yelled at, cussed out but most importantly disrespected. If you are a female, you will get hit on by the drunk customers and even sober ones
