Manager

February 2014 • Fairhaven, MA

What I liked

The fact that the people who I work with are friendly

What I wish was different

Customers had been more understanding about small inconveniences that we all face in our everyday lives but for some reason they feel that they have every right to dictate your very being because you are wearing a shirt that says you work at an establishment, which to them means that you may be seemingly worthless and that they may then just demean you as a person and then "ask to speak to the manager" where they then do the same degradation and then "call corporate".

Advice

You will learn valuable life skills

Manager

March 2018 • Murfreesboro, TN

What I liked

I love working with such motivated people and being able to learn to learn a new language with my employees!

What I wish was different

I wish that employees would be on time and work in a timely manner.

Advice

I have worked many places and one of the pieces of advice i would give others, would always be open to new experiences and methods of learning. Work can be stressful but don't let that ruin the experience and knowledge that comes along with it.

Fast Food Cook

June - August 2019 • Fenton, MI

What I liked

The employees were all very enjoyable to work with, yet maintained efficiency.

What I wish was different

I wish it was possible to become a manager specifically for the grill/cooking area just as there are service only managers.

Advice

The unequal distribution of management I feel leaves the cooks underrepresented when changes are made in the restaurant. This wasn't a problem while I was there, but I could see it becoming one.

Check Out Cashier

July - August 2019 • Philadelphia, PA

What I liked

I liked making money, but I didn't liked the job very much. There were very rude customers, unreasonable managers all for $7.50 an hour. I'd rather spend my time volunteering for people who need me than to spend my time working for Mcdonalds.

What I wish was different

I wish that people enjoyed coming to work, I think that makes all the difference. When you hate what you do your negative attitude spreads. I think people are programmed to share our experiences with one another whether we want to or not.

Advice

I'd say that every day you wake up make one choice. For some they choose to let the day seize them. I think you should choose to seize the day. Choose to be positive and don't let anyone or anything take that away from you. That's the advice I'd give.

What I liked

The hours are flexible, the pay is decent for a fast-food job in Rexburg, and the working environment is pleasant for the most part.
