What I liked

Flexibility in what I've been able to work on and how much I've learned so far. Being able to apply everything from my schooling has been great.

What I wish was different

We use a ton of different systems for reporting, data collection, inventory, communication etc. It would be nice to reduce these to a few, more streamlined, channels.

Advice

Being comfortable in working outside of your comfort zone is a major asset. Pushing your knowledge/technical skills and showing open-mindedness and willingness to learn makes a major difference.

What I liked

They gave me my choice of projects across the company. My boss was an amazing mentor and guided me through my first job in an high-growth startup.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been a little more organization. As the 3rd fastest growing company in Silicon Valley, we were getting pulled in too many directions. I wish we had the capital to implement some time saving measures immediately, but the stage of the company didn't allow it.

Advice

Don't be afraid to speak your mind, give your opinion, or ask for help. Although you are in intern, they brought you in to do a job, and it is in your best interest - and theirs - that you do it successfully. So don't be too timid to ask for what you need to complete the task.
