The mission of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS is to connect the community to Jewish heritage, identity, experiences and values to ensure the continuity and vibrancy of the Jewish community. We accomplish our mission by promoting the physical and mental well-being of the community and offering a rich array of stimulating and innovative social, cultural, educational, and recreational programs and services. The LFJCC is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for San Diego’s diverse Jewish community and its greater general community.
For over 45 years, the JCC has met the needs of San Diegans through quality, community-oriented programming. Services include: Nierman Preschool; Inclusion Program including children with special needs; Jacobs and Klein Senior Center; Camp Jaycee summer day camp; QUALCOMM Sports, Fitness & Aquatics complex; Youth & Teen Programs; David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre; San Diego Center for Jewish Culture - San Diego Jewish Film Festival - San Diego Jewish Book Fair - Holocaust Education Program - Gotthelf Art Gallery. The JCC provide a diverse, intergenerational, family-friendly environment to over 8,000 members and nonmembers. Every month there are approximately 140,000 visits to JCC programs and services. In addition, close to 50 community groups including public schools, sports teams and other nonprofit organizations use the JCC facility on an ongoing basis.
