Kent State University, Career Exploration and Development

Practicum Student

May - August 2020 • Kent, OH

What I liked

I enjoyed that the CED office was so accommodating and flexible with my schedule with a full time job and full time class schedule. I enjoyed that the CED employees took time out of their day to meet with me (virtually) and get to know me while I got to know them and understand their position better.

What I wish was different

Nothing. They have been an amazing office to work with for my first graduate school internship.

Career Peer/Senior Career Peer

June 2019 • Kent, OH

What I liked

CED also gives me a lot of freedom to be creative with the projects that I'm assigned, which I really like. I also felt like the training process was very thorough and by the time I started, for example, drop-ins at which I was the lead peer, I felt completely prepared. Feedback on your performance is very clear as well. Additionally, the whole staff at the office is very nice and helpful, and I have had nothing but positive interactions with everyone there!
