Billing Representative

June - August 2020 • Milwaukee, WI

What I liked

It taught me a lot about working efficiently and also accurately. I know I was the youngest person there but I feel that I learned so much about billing, managing, communication, etc.

What I wish was different

Due to COVID, most of the internship was working at home so I wish that I got the full experience of being there but it was still great.

Advice

I would say that it is definitely challenging but to make sure to always be in communication with advisors, managers, team leads. Whenever I had a question I knew that that situation would appear again and I would have to ask questions.

Research and Insights Intern

July 2019 • Milwaukee, WI

What I liked

The environment is great. Everyone is inviting and there is a great mix of work that you get to be a part of. It is letting me learn about research and insights, trade shows, social media marketing, building the JCI website, and the B2B relationships we have to help us do all of our work. They are also very flexible about the work schedule.

What I wish was different

The amount of work lets you learn a lot, about a lot. It's a little bit overloading on some days though. The workload has its ups and downs.

Advice

Ask any question you think of and if you are working on project A, but you are interested in project B, just say so. They will let you in and you can learn more about your interests.
