What I liked
There is a strong emphasis on giving interns meaningful work throughout the course of the internship. The culture I experienced was supportive and collaborative. Overall, I felt that most people I worked with were rooting for my success.
Deere treats their interns very well. They start investing in you from the moment you start your assignment. I was provided with numerous training opportunities, such as the opportunity to operate construction vehicles, a presentation skills class specifically for interns, and the opportunity to learn about diesel engines by taking one apart.
Benefit-wise, interns get the opportunity to opt into 401k benefits, a stock purchase plan, and tuition assistance for classes taken during the internship. You also get a year of service credit for completing an internship.
