This opportunity allowed me to not only work and learn alongside industry professionals but also work closely with others interns in different fields.

Although this was a great opportunity and experience, I wish the internship had lasted longer. This would have allowed me to learn even more and make valuable memories.
Advice
One advice I would share would be to broaden the way you approach each situation and not being afraid of collaboration.

What I liked
This internship had an amazing balance between working within your role and getting cross-functional experience with other roles. Team building was a strong part of the program, given that the final pitch consisted of working with a real client on a team of other interns throughout the program. It was a well-structured and motivating internship where you were able to get to know the company better while also having the ability to explore the different aspects of industry life that you may be interested in. This was a very rewarding internship and I would recommend it to others who are interested in advertising and complementary fields.
What I wish was different
Once a week the interns would have "lunch and learns" where we would all have free lunch in the office and listen to presentations by different departments within the agency. This was a great way to learn about how different departments made up the larger agency. One thing that I would improve would be to have the speakers required to be in person. I found that the presentation that captivated me the most was when the speaker was actually in front of us in the office, rather than over Zoom.
Advice
Come in with the intent of networking with those at the company and other interns. These connections have the potential to last you a lifetime!

What I liked
I liked that the interns had to Pitch an campaign for a real product. It gave us real world experience and allowed us to network with influencetial leadership.
What I wish was different
My mentor was more clear about my responsibilities. By the end of the problem, I used him for resources and perceptive. I wasn’t working as closely with him and his team as I would have liked too.
Advice
Use your downtime wisely! Networking is so important especially in the advertising industry. A lot of people know each other.

What I liked
Many workshops that made sure the students were educated in all aspects in the field of advertising; the intern project where we created a pitch from start to finish was helpful too
What I wish was different
I wish I had been closer, the city was too far. I also wish it was longer, after 9 weeks I felt like I was just starting to get used to it
Advice
You get educated on the role of every department in presentations and workshops, so if you aren't sure what exactly you want to do yet, this is an excellent opportunity to help you decide
