What I liked

I loved my time at Her Next Play. One of my favorite parts of my internship was the projects that I got to work on and the people who I worked with. Throughout the summer I worked on meaningful projects that pushed me out of the comfort zone. I was able to work independently and in a team setting. My opinion and ideas were valued and listened to. Everyone at Her Next Play wanted me to be successful and helped me in every way that they could.

What I wish was different

There are very few things that I disliked from my internship experience or that I wished had been different. With that being said, this summer I worked virtually because of the ongoing pandemic and I wish I would of had the opportunity to participate in some of the events that had to be postponed or canceled. If I could have changed anything, I wish I would have been able to work at Her Next Play during a normal summer. With that being said the Her Next Play team did an outstanding job helping me navigate working remotely and did their best to make my internship outstanding.

Advice

Be prepared to perform out of your comfort zone. In this regard, be mentally prepared to accept challenges and not be intimated by them. Do not be afraid to voice your opinion and share your ideas. Be sure to leverage the connections you make over the summer.
