What I liked
I really appreciated the people (counselors, campers, etc.) who were at Vanke Fuxian Lake International CampUS, where I was placed by Gotoco. I learned a lot, from how to count in Chinese fashions (in Mandarin and on fingers) to Chinese cultural values to much, much, more. I rediscovered a passion for rock climbing. I made new friends. And, I got to explore the Yangshuo area in the Guangxi Province (after finishing my internship; also via Gotoco). I loved doing sport with the kids, cracking cross cultural/linguistic jokes with the counselors, and getting to be and grow somewhere new. Best of all, perhaps, I rediscovered a love for and for the creating of camp.
