Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis

Internal Audit Intern

June - July 2022 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

I liked working in teams with other interns and interacting with current employees. I liked doing the analytical work and diving into excel.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have gotten more meaningful work and had more interactions with the current employees. A lot of them were remote so there was not a whole lot of interaction.

Advice

My advice would be to go in with an open mind. Internal audit can be a bit dry but try to make the most of it. Say yes to opportunities and put on a smile.

What I liked

I love the freedom the role offered and the resources that were accessible. My time at the fed was during a period of turmoil in our economy. I took advantage of the opportunity by being resourceful.

I honestly cannot point on one thing that could have been better.
