Aircraft Dispatcher

September 2018 - August 2019 • Daytona Beach, FL

What I liked

Working in a teamwork environment was very beneficial in building communication and leadership skills. The camaraderie between dispatchers and friendships created helped me integrate into the flight department, and strengthen relationships. From a operations perspective, this gave me a lot of knowledge about the flight department, and can transfer forward as a flight instructor working in the same department.

What I wish was different

I was previously used to a higher wage, and that is the only thing I wish was different.

Advice

Regardless of wage, the opportunities that are presented from a job such as this is extremely valuable. The lower wage is a starting point, but the knowledge and professionalism developed will be carried forward and used later in life.
