What I liked

I love the way that our Demo-Store is set up. As an expert is it my duty to engage, excite and explain technology with customers when they arrive. I love the management style because they are very including and informative. This job is so cool because Dyson promotes the idea of, "Fixing problems others choose to ignore." Whether we are talking about revolutionary cord-free vacuums, the worlds fastest hair dryer/styler or the iconic air purifiers- everytime i go to work is a new fun experience.

What I wish was different

Primarly, i wish that the uniforms were a little bit different. We have to wear a dyson shirt that is pretty tight and it would be nice if we could wear our own corporate casual outfits. The other thing is the business that they work with for security for the store is very unprofessional and outright annoying, that would be better if they hired someone else.

Advice

One piece of advice would be to be patient when learning the material whether you are an employee or customer. The new technology can be overwhelming- there are microprocessors and direct digital motors and these are parts that make these machines so great, but confusing. Another piece of advice would be to enjoy the opportunity you have been given- towards management this means appreciate your hardworking employees, and to associates this means embrace the mistakes made and grow stronger from them.
