The mission of the Double H Ranch is to provide specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Our purpose is to enrich their lives and provide camp experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. All programs are FREE of charge and capture the magic of the Adirondacks.
This summer we are hiring 50 staff due to a reduced capacity program. Staff work from the beginning of June until the end of August and are paid between 300-500 dollars per week including room and board. Staff must be willing to put their own needs on the back burner and give all their energy, time, and love to these campers.
Kids stay at camp for 5 days and then our staff have 2.5 days off to relax and make memories with their friends. After that break, we have a whole new group of kids come to camp. In a typical summer, we serve close to 900 campers. For the summer of 2021, we are hoping to serve close to 400. Campers are divided up into one of our six cabins by age and gender. Each cabin has 3-5 staff members that travel with kids from activity to activity and provide daily care for our campers.
