What I liked

I liked being able to work with very experienced people in my pharmacy to learn more and more about the healthcare system, especially with regards to pharmacy. I also liked being able to help people understand more about their medications and be safe with their courses of therapy.

What I wish was different

I wish the process for educating new technicians on the systems was faster. I spent a long time working the baseline drug pickup duties before I was able to to scheduled to be trained the more important difficult portions of the jobs.

Advice

Having a good attitude is essential for a job like this. Having a lot of patience is necessary when mostly because in the process of starting the job you're going to be constantly running into situations that you haven't experienced before. You will have to asked for help and you shouldn't be afraid of that.

I loved having the ability to experience patient care in person and learn more about to real world application of prescriptions.

I wish that more staff was present to assist in comprehensive patient care.

What I liked

I learned to deal with different types of customers and handle small conflicts with the customers where they were happy at the end of their check out process.

What I wish was different

I wish I had started the job much earlier instead of taking a long time off.

Advice

You should have patience and understand the conflict from the customer's perspective.
