“What I like about my job is that I can experience the foodservice industry in a way that involves me as a server and also as a diet clerk, so that I learn from the bottom up about the industry. I am able to interact with patients, shadow others to see what kind of positions are available and also work closely with dietitians throughout the day. I love to learn more about what is involved in a day as a dietitian and I am able to ask as many questions as I would like because I am interacting with not only the dietitians but also the cooks, servers and supervisors. I am in a Management class currently and it is much easier to understand the concepts of management when I am also involved in the process at work and see first-hand how the different roles of managing play out on a daily basis. ”
