ClearSource was founded in 2008 by Rob Goeller and Nate Spears. Prior to the company’s inception, the founders worked together for the financial services division of automaker BMW. They were responsible for customer experience for the BMW Signature Card.
Customer support for the credit card was outsourced to a third-party company. Unfortunately, the quality of the service was poor. In talking with other providers, Rob and Nate discovered most outsourced service providers were primarily focused on efficiency measures, and it felt like quality was an afterthought.
Our founders believed that a provider focused on creating exceptional customer experiences would fill a need in the outsourced customer service industry. The strategy was to create a service offering that reflected the best practices of companies well-known for exceptional customer service – companies like BMW, Disney, Nordstrom, and Zappos, to name a few.
ClearSource has grown substantially since its founding 10 years ago. Its 300 employees work primarily from the company’s Sandy, Utah, offices, as well as an office in Pleasant Grove, Utah – a site that was added in December 2017. In recognition of its rapid pace of growth, ClearSource was named by Inc. Magazine as being one of the 500 fastest-growing, private companies in the United States in 2015, 2016, and again in 2017.
