It was a great experience to widen my skills, along with working with youth and helping them learn useful life skills.
What I wish was different
I was worked with a wide variety of age groups and I wish I would have been able to stick with the same age group for the whole summer.
Advice
It is difficult but it is so beneficial. It helped me become more comfortable with youth and it helped me learn how to better deal with issues that come up on the fly. Be prepared to be exausted everyday but also be prepared to be changed by the experience.
