What I liked

this is such a fun place to work! the management is excellent, mobility is good, training is comprehensive, and the staff is very kind. loved the benefits like employee discounts and options for insurance etc. for full time employees.

What I wish was different

wish the processes for taking action against repeatedly aggressive customers were more efficient. they shouldn’t have to make a laundry list of people uncomfortable before we can take action against them.

Advice

learn customer service skills in an early job. a job like Caribou where you work in many different roles is great for figuring out what parts of a job you like and what parts you don’t. a caring team like Caribou makes every workday one to look forward to.

What I liked

I like making new things and working with new people to serve customers! It was a great environment with friendly people.

What I wish was different

Business was slow due to COVID and there is not a lot of customers that come to the shop in the first place, so there was a lot of busy work/cleaning done.

Advice

Always ask any questions you have and know how to treat customers with kindness at all times.

What I liked

I love interacting with customers and putting a smile on their face when handing them a cup of coffee. Obviously, with COVID, that has restricted our ability to share smiles, but typically in drive, we get to see theirs! In addition, I have made some great friends that have going to work more enjoyable!

I wish I would have started sooner!

Advice

The environment is great. If you go into it with a positive attitude, you will have so much joy poured into you as well! If you go into the job expecting it be miserable, it will be. It's all about how you go about your emotions and excitement.

What I liked

My favorite part of working at Caribou the past 4 years is the people i had the chance to talk with and all of the different things they had to share. I have met people from Austrialia, Colorado, Europe, and places all over the world. I also love all of the people that I met through the company and the relationships that I formed.

What I wish was different

I dont wish anything to be different from working there.

Advice

Do the things you love while you have the chance. Branch out of your comfort zone as well. I bet you will not regret it in the end.

Caribou is a very fun place to work but it varies based on the management at each store so if you're thinking about working at one, ask around first and make sure that store is the right fit for you (current/former employees are the best to ask).

I wish the general public would have been nicer. This job definitely makes you more friendly to hourly wage earners.

Advice

My schedule was incredible sporadic, so if you have a hard time with having no set schedule or regularity, this job is pretty hard.
