Big Leap

Digital Marketing Intern

July 2019 • Lehi, UT

What I liked

I really loved how Big Leap treated me like an employee and not so much like an intern. That included many of their benefits, reaching out to me acknowledging personal accomplishments (e.g. birthday, finals week, personal wins) that normally go unnoticed. Big Leap is like being a part of a family.

What I wish was different

I think the onboarding process when going from intern to full-time could be a little more smooth or communicate the option if available. It's been confusing to know whether or not they want to or can hire.

Advice

I have loved working at Big Leap. For a small company, they are able to help you feel a sense of belonging, meaning, autonomy and that you have room to continually learn and grow. However, I would advise either being proactive in their communication process (in regards from company to employee).

What I liked

Working at Big Leap has given me experience in a growing industry. The training, opportunities to increase pay and the benefits make it a great place to work.

Advice

Be proactive and learn. The work gets very busy and not every day you have someone who can train you. Stay up to date on industry trends and topics to be the most successful that you can.

What I liked

Big Leap invested in me as a person. Not only did managers and directors make sure I was learning valuable hard skills, they constantly made sure that I was doing well personally. This is one of the few jobs where I've felt like my managers genuinely cared about me and went out of their way to incorporate my ideas into real projects and clients.

Advice

I've recommended several friends to Big Leap and would be happy to talk to anyone about the opportunities to work at Big Leap.
