What I liked

A wide range of experiences within marketing--wasn't confined to strictly digital marketing or design, but rather got to dabble in many areas and develop different skills. I was also thankful for the amount of independence this internship entailed and how receptive Better Off was to our suggestions! Super cool to see our ideas put into practice.

What I wish was different

I wish there would have been more frequent check-ins throughout the internship so that I could better assess my progress and take advantage of any opportunities for improvement.

Advice

Don't be afraid to dive into something you don't know how to do--or perhaps have never even heard of before. There are so many tools at your disposal, and Better Off is truly invested in making sure you develop helpful skills in the long-run.

What I liked

I really enjoyed my internship at Better Off. The team dynamic was super collaborative, and I got to learn a lot by working closely with the CEO. They gave me a lot of independence, which was great for figuring out my work style and getting a taste of startup culture. It was really rewarding to see the direct impact my work had on the company, which isn't something you always get in an internship.

What I wish was different

Advice

Ask a lot of questions and stay organized, as it's a fast-paced environment. Your experience will be as rewarding as the effort you put in, so take initiative and get involved wherever you can.
