“I really enjoy how different the design projects are to what I normally do. I work a lot with formatting documents and working in InDesign (creating letters, making advertisements for magazines, and thank-you cards to donors) and Photoshop (with removing backgrounds and changing color profiles from RGB to CMYK to prepare photos for print). I also get chances to work with illustrations and vector design (with my frisbee design for the Student Alumni Associated), but there's much more formatting work and updating elements that hadn't been updated in a few years. All of this will certainly help me in my job search when I graduate in May. The work environment is very relaxed. I'm able to choose my own hours and work from home when applicable. The work clothing is more aligned with casual attire, which is something I will be looking for in my job search. Overall, this experience has (and still is) aided in expanding my design skills and showing me what to look for in an ideal job in my job search.”
