BioXFEL Lab Intern
May - August 2018 • Tempe, AZ
What I liked
This experience allowed me to get a glimpse of what lab work could be like in graduate school. It taught me new techniques. I was also able to gain knowledge about how XFELs work from physicists prespectives.
What I wish was different
If I could have changed something ti would have been the way the internship started. I was kind of lost because the professor out of the lab was out of town at the beginning of the internship.
Advice
Internships are invaluable because they allow the intern to test drive a company and a career path. Often there is some compensation. Make the most of internships they are very short. Ask lots of questions.
